Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA Therapy) focuses on improving, establishing, and enhancing socially significant behaviors. This is done through a scientific approach using research based interventions. Treatment frequently addresses social skills, communication, reading, and academics as well as adaptive learning skills, such as fine motor dexterity, hygiene, grooming, domestic capabilities, punctuality, job competence, maladaptive behaviors and more. It is currently the only treatment for Autism Spectrum Disorder that is supported by science and research. ABA is the scientific approach to understanding behavior using a set of principles that focus on how behaviors change, and the relationship between the environment.
